Do a day trip or overnight safari at Tsavo National Park. Tsavo is the largest National Park in Kenya and only a couple of hours from Malindi. Clients in a day trip leave early in the morning to view the game at the best possible time, have lunch at a safari lodge, and return through the park late in the afternoon. Hot air safaris are also possible from Malindi.

The Tsavo national park is divided by the Nairobi – Mombasa road into Tsavo East and Tsavo West.

Tsavo East is a true wilderness and evokes vivid memories of Africa’s forgotten grandeur. Encompassing miles of arid plains, savannah and scrubland and sheltering over 8,000 elephants, Tsavo entered ‘frontier’ lore at the turn of the century when two maverick ‘man eating’ lions devoured over 50 Indian labourers on the Kenya Uganda Railway.

Tsavo West also offers a glorious diversity of habitats but the biggest attraction is Mzima Springs, a source of cool clear water that gushes hundreds of miles from below Mt Kilimanjaro to burst out, at the rate of 250 million litres a day, from the rocks at Mzima
